Texas Emergency Care Center to host blood drive Saturday in Cypress
The Texas Emergency Care Center will host a blood drive on Saturday, Feb. 12, benefiting the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
Mobile blood center units will be at Texas Emergency Care Center’s Cypress facility, 17255 Spring Cypress, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Partnering with other emergency care providers including Coastal EMS, Pearland EMS and Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight, Texas Emergency Care Center coordinates this effort to support the community by promoting blood donations and safety efforts.
Families are invited to bring their children to the blood drive as Texas Emergency Care Center is also teaming with Project Safekids to offer child DNA/ID kits. These kits provide critical information to law enforcement and emergency care providers; they aid in protecting children from dangers they may face. Ambulances, face painting and balloon art will be available for family entertainment.
“Supporting the community is of utmost importance to Texas Emergency Care Center,” says CEO Rhonda Sandel. “By joining efforts with other emergency care providers, the blood drive seeks to heighten awareness about the need to donate blood, as well as support the efforts of local law enforcement to keep our children safe.”
