LSC-CyFair to stage "Brighton Beach Memoirs"
The Lone Star College-CyFair Drama Department is preparing to open its upcoming production of Neil Simon's comedy "Brighton Beach Memoirs" with a preview performance on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
Directed by LSC-CyFair drama professor Ron Jones, "Brighton Beach Memoirs" is the coming-of-age story of a young Jewish teenager in Brooklyn in the late 1930s.
There will be a reception after the play's official opening on Friday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. The show continues with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. until March 5 and closes with a performance on Sunday, March 6, at 3 p.m.
All performances are in the Main Stage Theatre in the Center for the Arts, 9191 Barker Cypress Road.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students with a valid ID. Employees of LSC-CyFair get in free. Group rates are also available. Find more information at lonestar.edu/boxoffice or by calling 281-290-5201.
