Cy-Falls HS grad Devin Gibson has record setting night for UTSA
Cy-Falls graduate Devin Gibson scored a season-high 25 points to move into third place on UTSA’s career scoring list, but Southeastern Louisiana defeated UTSA 79-73 on Wednesday night.
Gibson was 9-of-15 from the field and 7-for-8 at the free-throw line en route to his sixth 20-point game of the year and he surpassed Keith Horne for third place as the program's third-leading scorer.
The Houston native now has 1,460 career points. He added seven rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in logging all 40 minutes.
At Cy-Falls, Gibson was District 17-5A MVP, averaging 12.5 points per game, six assists per game and four rebounds per game as a senior.
He leads UTSA in scoring at 16.2 points per game and is second on the team in rebounding, grabbing 5.4 boards per game.
