Suit centers on Cy-Fair commercial lease agreement
A landlord is suing after, it says, a Cy-Fair tenant breached a lease agreement by failing to pay rent after vacating the premises.
Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada filed a lawsuit on Feb. 14 in the Harris County District Court against Bayou City Home Health Care, alleging breach of lease agreement.
The plaintiff says that on Oct. 24, 2005, it agreed to lease the defendant 2,501 square-feet of space at 10235 W. Little York Road in Cy-Fair. According to the brief, the defendant breached this agreement when it vacated the premises prematurely, failing to pay rent and other accrued charges.
Sun Life is seeking actual damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Dallas attorney David Klinger.
