Art league plans oil painting demonstration
Ever wondered how classical painters created such vibrant images?
An oil painting demonstration this weekend could help you better understand the techniques of masters such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh.
The demonstration by artist Annette Botts will take place on Feb. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Norchester Activity Center at 13439 Jones Road.
The event is sponsored by the Northwest Art League, which holds regular events at the center. Past demonstrations by various artists have covered acrylic, watercolor, framing and other artistic disciplines.
The group will also be holding a judged show at MET Baptist Church, 1300 Jones Road, on March 19.
For more information on this and other events, have a look at the League's schedule at www.lonestarartguild.org/nwal_homepage.html.
