ID of man killed on soccer field still unknown


The identity of man found shot to death on a soccer field in a park in northwest Harris County remains a mystery. Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying the victim.
According to the Chronicle story by Dale Lezon, the victim's body was discovered at Freshmeadow Park in the 4600 block of Campbell about 7 a.m. July 17, police said. He was shot more than once in the chest.
The victim is described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 230 pounds. He had a tattoo on his left chest of a red heart with barbed wire across it and flames and a white cross above it.
