Cy-Fair chamber holds its first Green Fair
The Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce will hold its first Cy-Fair Houston Green Fair on Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 at the Berry Center.
The fair is part of the city’s mission to help the community go green. Area residents will have the opportunity to bring plastic bottles, aluminum cans and electronics in for recycling. They are also encouraged to bring paper and other items for shredding. Electronic recyclables include computers and computer parts, printers, mobile phones, copiers, fax machines, remote controls and telephone equipment. There is a $10 suggested donation fee per load.
“This is a great event for Cy-Fair,” said Mary Evans, president of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber. “We hope people will start gathering their recyclables.”
Recycling will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 26 and from noon to 4 p.m. on March 27. The event is being held in conjunction with the Fourth Annual Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show, also held on March 26 and 27.
The Berry Center is located at 8877 Barker Cypress in Cypress.
