HS girls softball: Cypress Woods tops Cypress Falls

Cypress Falls fell to Cypress Woods 3-2 in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.

Cypress Woods had a walk-off win the bottom of the seventh in the victory.

The win ups Cypress Woods to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in district play.

Morgan Truitt picked up the win for the Wildcats, striking out seven.

Cypress Woods will next visit Jersey Village on Friday at 7 p.m.

The loss drops Cypress Falls to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in district play.

Andrea Sims was the hard-luck loser for the Golden Eagles.

Cypress Falls will next host Cypress Creek on Friday at 6 p.m.
