Cy-Fair ISD seeks contractors for fertilizer, intercom projects
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District is accepting bids for a low-voltage intercom system, clock parts, fertilizer and pesticides.
Bids are accepted until March 1 for a one-year contract to supply the district with $60,000 worth of fertilizer and pesticides. The contract may be renewed yearly until 2014.
According to a bid request document, the district plans to annually buy 215 50-pound bags of various fertilizers, and about two dozen varieties of fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, bug repellents and other pest-control supplies.
Cy-Fair ISD has budgeted about $23,000 to $28,000 annually for an intercom system and for master clock system parts and supplies. Bids are accepted until March 10 for a contract scheduled to begin May 1. It may be renewed yearly until 2014.
Cy-Fair ISD includes 83 schools and special facilities and serves a student population of more than 106,000.
