Officer shoots bank robbery suspect
An off-duty Harris County sheriff's deputy working an extra job shot and wounded a bank robber in one of two heists attempted around the area this afternoon.
The deputy shot a man during a robbery of the Vista Bank Texas branch in the 14600 block of U.S. 290 around 1 p.m., the FBI said.
No other information was immediately available, including the suspect's condition.
The other bank robbery occurred in southeast Houston.
