Cypress home improvement store involved in injury lawsuit
A Tomball woman is suing a Cypress home improvement store, claiming she fell in a hole in the parking lot.
Cherie L. Yost filed a lawsuit March 1 in Harris County District Court against Lowe's Companies Inc. Yost argues the store is responsible for injuries to her knee and back.
Yost says she was visiting the Lowe's on Rose Hill Road in January 2010. As she was walking from her car toward the store, the woman says she stepped into a four-inch deep hole and fell.
Yost claims the hole was hidden because it -- and the area all around it -- was painted yellow. The alleged fall, she says, caused serious injuries to her knee and back.
Yost accuses the store of negligence and asks for an unspecified amount of money in damages to pay for medical costs, lost wages and court fees.
Attorneys John C. Cunningham and Larry G. Longer are representing Yost.
