Thai restaurant passes regular inspection; one problem noted
A Thai restaurant in the Cy-Fair area recently passed its Harris County health inspection, though one problem was observed.
Aroy Thai Cuisine, located at 7239 Fairbanks N. Houston Road, received four demerits out of a possible 100 from inspectors in their Jan. 19 visit. An establishment must earn 20 demerits to be considered "of concern" and in need of a follow-up visit.
Inspectors awarded the demerits for an "approved systems" violation. That could mean that the date was not marked on ready-to-eat foods held over 24 hours, improper procedures were used for some foods allowed out of temperature control for four hours or certain other hazard procedures were not followed. This is not a violation that the National Food and Drug Administration frequently associates with food-borne illness.
The restaurant received nine demerits in its September 2010 inspection and three demerits in June 2010.
