HS girls softball: Jersey Village defeats Cy Ridge

Jersey Village defeated Cy Ridge in District 17-5A softball action on Tuesday.

The Falcons, 8-7-0 overall and 3-2-0 in district play, won the game 13-0.

Jersey Village scored its 13 runs on 14 hits. Marissa Rodriguez and Jazzmin Fritz each had a double in the game.

Sarah Provazek struck out four batters in earning the win. The Falcons will visit Cy Creek on Friday at 6 p.m.

Tuesday’s loss dropped Cy Ridge to 1-9-0 overall 0-6-0 in district play. Illyana Perez took the loss for Cy Ridge, who didn’t have a hit on the day and committed four errors.

Cy Ridge will host Cy Springs on Friday at noon.
