LSC-CyFair hosts free FAFSA financial aid workshops

Lone Star College-CyFair will be offering financial aid workshops in March and April.

Parents and students will get free, on-site assistance applying for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is used to determine eligibility for federal and state financial aid programs such as grants, loans and work study. Students should bring all 2010 tax information for themselves and their parents.

The workshops in March will be held on Wednesday, March 23 from 5 p.m.  to 7 p.m.; Thursday, March 24 from noon to 2 p.m.; Monday, March 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Tuesday, March 29 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The workshops in April will be held on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to noon; Thursday, April 7 from noon to 2 p.m.; Friday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Tuesday, April 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Tuesday, April 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

All workshops will be held in the Technology (TECH) Building at LSC-CyFair, located at 9191 Barker Cypress.
