One violation fixed in recent restaurant inspection

Connor's Restaurant recently passed a Harris County food safety inspection; inspectors noted only one problem.

The eatery at 16506 FM 529 was inspected on Feb. 21. County staff gave Connor's five demerits out of a possible 100. An establishment must receive 20 demerits to be considered "of concern" and in need of a follow-up visit.

The demerits were given for a "cold hold" violation, meaning food that needed to stay cool was held over 41 degrees Fahrenheit for more than four hours. According to the Harris County website, this problem is among the kinds of violations most associated with food-borne illness by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Inspectors fixed the problem on site.

Inspectors also recorded just one inspection in the last visit to Connor's in September 2010, when the restaurant received three demerits.
