Cypress Creek grad commended for service as Marine

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Michael R. Warner recently received a Letter of Commendation while serving as driver for the commanding officer at Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma in Okinawa, Japan.

Warner, a 2008 graduate of Cypress Creek High School, was responsible for ensuring the commanding officer arrived at all official functions in a safe and timely manner. He also assisted the installation logistics team by becoming familiar with standard operating procedures for all facilities aboard Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, and provided support to all of its tenant units.

The son of Janise W. Brown of Houston, Warner joined the Marine Corps in November 2008.
