Two local HS alums help Dartmouth crush Akron, 19-2
Langham Creek High School graduate Jeff Onstott and Woodlands High School graduate Jake Carlson had great games as Dartmouth hammered Akron 19-2 in baseball action on Thursday.
Onstott went 3-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored in the win.
Onstott lettered all four years at Langham Creek for Coach Armando Sedeño. He served as team captain his senior year. Onstott was Second Team All-District as a junior, First Team as a senior, and also the baseball student-athlete of the year for the Greater Houston area.
Jeff is majoring in psychology. He is the son of Jim and Mary Onstott.
Carlson went 2-5 with an RBI and a run scored in the win.
Carlson played center field for Coach Eastman at The Woodlands. He lettered both years as the team won the District 15-5A championship.
He was named District 15-5A MVP and Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star. His team won the Texas 5A State Championship during his sophomore season. Jake is the son of Daniel and Linda Carlson. Jake’s father played football at the University of Nebraska in the early '80s.
