Kabab restaurant passes county food safety inspection with two violations
A local restaurant known for Pakistani barbecue recently passed its Harris County food safety inspection, though some problems were observed.
Inspectors paid their regular visit to the Bundu Khan Kabab House, 10941 FM 1960 W., on March 3. According to an official report, the restaurant was given six demerits out of a possible 100. An establishment must earn 20 demerits to be considered "of concern" and in need of a follow-up visit.
Officials stated that two problems led to the demerits. The first was an issue with the restaurant's hand-washing facilities. The second was a failure to post necessary consumer advisories. Neither of these problems are among the types of violations the county website states are most associated with food-borne illness by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
