Price of Cypress gas cheaper than most of U.S.
Gas in and around Cypress is a little bit cheaper than that of the rest of the Houston area and a lot cheaper than the rest of the county, data from a price-tracking website show.
Users of gasbuddy.com recently reported rates for regular unleaded at 30 stations in or near Cypress. The average of those figures was $3.423 per gallon. Meanwhile, the averages are $3.414 for Texas, $3.430 for the Houston metropolitan area and $3.540 nationwide.
The lowest local price was $3.33 per gallon. One of the several stations offering gas at this rate was the Exxon at 20600 N.W. Freeway.
The highest price recorded was $3.49 per gallon, which was also being charged by many different stations.
