HS girls softball: Cy Woods 3, Cy Lakes 2

Cy Woods claimed a 3-2 victory over Cy Lakes in girls softball action on Tuesday afternoon.

“After graduating 12 girls last year, we are extremely young this season," said Cy Woods coach Clif Bond.

"We are happy to be 5-3 and tied for third place. We aren’t taking anyone for granted. We just want to be in the playoff hunt at the end.”

Kristen Anglin and Amanda Leal both knocked out doubles for Cy Woods.

Morgan Truitt got the win, striking out five.
