HS girls softball preview: Jersey Village vs. Cy Springs
Jersey Village will battle Cy Springs in girls softball action on Tuesday.
"Cy-Springs is a good hitting team," said Jersey Village Head Coach Bruce Beets. "They matched up with us pretty well the last time we played them (an 11-9 win for JVHS). As I've said before, we have to play well against each and every opponent. Records are meaningless once the game begins."
Game time is scheduled for noon at Jersey Village.
Jersey Village has an 11-9-0 record on the season and is 6-3-0 in district play. On Friday, Jersey Village beat Cy Falls, 12-1.
Cy Springs is 2-11-0 on the year and 2-6-0 in district. On Friday, Cy Springs lost to Cy-Fair, 15-0, as Marissa Rodriguez and Taylor Guidry each scored one home run.
After Tuesday’s game, Jersey Village next plays Cy Woods on Friday.
Cy Springs next plays Langham Creek on Friday.
