Millsap first-graders sponsored for science museum trip
A flooring business helps fund "A Day at the Museum" for local elementary students.
Flaherty’s Flooring America donated $1,500 to Millsap Elementary in January, sponsoring a first-grade field trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
While other schools in the district had to forgo their field trips, the 112 first-graders and the 50 first-grade teachers and chaperones, who normally have to pay their own way, were able to spend a day at the museum. Leftover funds went to support the school’s butterfly and vegetable garden, according to the press release.
Flaherty’s Flooring America has been in business for over 18 years. For more information about the company, visit flahertysflooring.com.
