HS girls softball: Cypress Lakes tops Cypress Creek
In a slugfest, Cypress Lakes defeated Cypress Creek10-8 in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.
"It was an exciting game, but we were glad to get the victory," Cy-Lakes Head Coach Shauna Eller said. "To see the girls all contribute and keep fighting back is great. This was a complete win for our entire team."
Lauren Fairman picked up the win.
The win ups Cypress Lakes to 14-9 overall and 7-3 in district play.
Cypress Lakes will next visit Cy-Fair on Friday at noon.
The loss drops Cypress Creek to 6-9 overall and 5-5 in district play.
Balle Anderson took the loss.
Cypress Creek will next host Cypress Falls on Friday at noon.
