HS girls softball: Cypress Woods overpowers Cypress Falls
Cypress Woods powered its way to a 14-0 win over Cypress Falls in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.
"We continue through a rebuilding year," said Cy-Falls Head Coach John Hughes. "We are taking the opportunity to shift players around, and hope it will strengthen our defense in the long run."
Morgan Truitt picked up the win.
The win ups Cypress Woods to 10-9 overall and 7-3 in district play.
Cypress Woods will next host Jersey Village on Friday at 6 p.m.
The loss drops Cypress Falls to 1-15 overall and 1-8 in district play.
Christina Vasquez took the loss.
Cypress Falls will next visit Cypress Creek on Friday at 6 p.m.
