Where's the cheapest gas in Cypress?
The price of gas in Cypress is on the rise this week, though it is still lower than state and national averages, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.
Users of that site recently reported rates for regular unleaded gasoline at 29 stations in and around Cypress; their figures show the average price was about $3.491 per gallon as of March 30. That's just a smidgen under the Houston-area average of $3.594 but somewhat less than averages for Texas ($3.513) and the nation as a whole ($3.594).
Cypress's average last week was $3.423 per gallon.
The lowest price reported in the area was $3.39 per gallon, which was seen at the Kroger store at 18030 FM 529. The lowest price at a regular station was the $3.41 per gallon, being charged at 18001 FM 529.
The highest local price was $3.59 per gallon, which was being charged by four different stations.
