HS girls softball: Cypress Lakes thrashes Cypress Ridge
Cypress Lakes powered its way to an 18-1 win over Cypress Ridge in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.
“It was a big win for the Spartan softball team,” said Cy-Lakes Head Coach Shauna Eller. “It was a complete team victory. We look forward to continuing our journey from here.”
Pitcher Lauren Fairman struck out seven on her way to picking up the win for the Spartans.
The win ups Cypress Lakes to 15-10 overall and 8-4 in district play.
Cypress Lakes will next host Cypress Springs on Friday at noon.
The loss drops Cypress Ridge to 2-14 overall and 0-11 in district play.
Illyana Perez took the loss for the Rams.
Cypress Ridge will next visit Cypress Falls on Friday at 6 p.m.
