HS girls softball: Cy Lakes defeats Cy Springs
Cy Lakes powered its way to an 11-1 thrashing over Cy Springs in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Friday.
"This was a complete team win," said Cy Lakes Head Coach Shauna Eller. "It showed team unity on the field and off. Everyone plays an important role on this team, and the Spartans showed that by playing together and staying focused."
The win ups Cy Lakes to 16-10 overall and 9-4 in district play.
"Hopefully," Eller added, "this attitude will lead us into the playoffs."
Cy Lakes will next host Langham Creek on Tuesday at noon.
The loss drops Cy Springs to 3-15 overall and 3-10 in district play.
Cy Springs will next visit Cy Woods on Tuesday at noon.
