LSC tennis outreach helps disabled veterans

The Lone Star College-CyFair Tennis Team assisted the United Stated Tennis Association-Texas Section in introducing wheelchair tennis to disabled veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan as part of an annual Welcome Home event held Aug. 7. In addition to adaptive sports demonstrations for disabled veterans and their families, this event included a barbecue lunch; a comprehensive resource fair of organizations that provide services to returning veterans and their families in the Greater Houston Area; and various music, entertainment, attractions and activities for children and adults.
