HS girls softball: Jersey Village overpowers Cy Creek
Jersey Village powered its way to an 8-1 win over Cy Creek in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Friday.
"It was a good team win for us," said Jersey Village Head Coach Bruce Beets. "We played good solid defense, had good pitching, and everyone contributed offensively."
The win ups Jersey Village to 16-10 overall and 11-4 in district play.
Leanne Salas drove in four runs in the victory.
Jersey Village will next visit Cy-Fair on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The loss drops Cy Creek to 8-12 overall and 7-8 in district play.
Cy Creek will next host Cy Springs on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Baile Anderson took the loss.
