Cypress man accused of tattooing without parents' consent
Harris County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man this weekend after he was
accused of tattooing two juveniles without their parents' permission.
Luis Hendershot, 39, is charged with violating a law requiring parental
consent for a person under 18 to get a tattoo.
Deputies took the call Saturday in the 7700 block of Yucca Field Lane, says
Harris County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Tebben Lewis.
"The parents advised Mr. Hendershot did not ask for ID, and never received
consent from [the parents], and advised they wanted to pursue criminal
charges," Lewis says. The parents told deputies the juveniles had paid for
their tattoos.
Lewis says the arrest report does not include descriptions of the tattoos.
Online court records indicate that Hendershot is being held on $3,500 bond.
A Facebook page in Luis Hendershot's name lists him as the owner of a tattoo
business called House of Pain.
On Saturday night, a post on Hendershot's profile commented on his arrest,
saying, "well this is Luis' wife" and that he got arrested for tattooing
somebody "who is 17 and of age to make his own decisions."
