Cy-Fair dealership sued over outstanding lien
Missouri City resident Leah Richardson filed a lawsuit on April 14 in the Harris County District Court against 5 Star Autoplex, in Cy-Fair, alleging violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and common law fraud.
Richardson says that in May 2010, she traded in her 2005 Chrysler 300 to purchase a 2009 Saturn AURA from the defendant. According to the brief, the defendant failed to pay off the outstanding lien on her Chrysler as promised.
Richardson is seeking actual, economic and exemplary damages, as well as attorney’s fees and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney George Powell.
