Langham Creek drill team comes home a winner
The Bailadoras competed in the Crowd Pleasers National Championship contest held in San Antonio March 11-12.
The Bailadoras were named as one of the top three teams across all size categorizes, receiving second runner-up overall.
Both the team and dance officers were named National Champions in the Large Class Division.
The team won National Champion titles in the jazz, lyrical and tap divisions, taking first-place over all schools in the Large Class Division.
The lyrical and jazz dances received Outstanding Choreography Awards and the tap routine received the Crowd Pleaser Award.
The Team Pom received first runner-up and the team's Hip Hop Ensemble received first place.
The Bailadoras also earned an Overall Technical Merit Award, Outstanding Technique Award and the Elite Circle designation for top scores.
The Dance Officers -Hannah Miller, Allison Corrigan, Anna Berry, Amy Redmond, Nicole Miller and Paige Houghtaling- received National Champion titles for their jazz, lyrical, modern and tap dances in the Large Class Division. Their lyrical and modern dances received an Outstanding Choreography Award. The officers also received an Overall Technical Merit Award, Outstanding Technique Award and the Elite Circle designation for top scores.
Bailadora Social Officers -Amanda Rossy, Natalie Ford, Elizabeth Stallings, Allie Arbilo, Margo Elder, Alexis Karis and Victoria Petruzzi- won first runner-up in the Social Officer category.
Two small ensembles received awards including: Hougtaling, Jessica Jansen, Lauren Montalbano and Kourtney Zarker (first place) and Paige Anderson, Rachel Boulet, Morgan Cappadonna, Erin Poerschke and Victoria Vecchio (second runner-up). The Trio of Kelly Davis, Karis and Petruzzi took first runner-up. The Duet of Corrigan and Kylie Mogard took first place.
Soloists Corrigan and Nikki Miller made it to the finals.
