HS girls softball: Cypress Creek defeats Cypress Springs
Cypress Creek powered its way to an 11-5 win over Cypress Springs in District 17-5A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.
Baile Anderson registered the win for the Cougars.
The win ups Cypress Creek to 9-12 overall and 8-8 in district play.
Erica Sanchez had a big game with the bat, driving one over the wall.
Cypress Creek will next visit Langham Creek on Thursday at noon.
The loss drops Cypress Springs to 3-17 overall and 3-12 in district play.
Pitcher Jennifer Phillips picked up the loss for the Panthers.
Cypress Springs will next host Cy-Fair on Thursday at noon.
