Student from Houston wins fashion scholarship

Langham Creek High School graduate Marah Carpenter was recognized at Moore College of Art & Design's Honors Convocation on April 15.

Currently a fashion design major at Moore College, Carpenter was awarded the $2,000 Charming Shoppes Scholarship at the event. She was recognized for her talent in fashion design and the promise she shows going forward.   

Charming Shoppes Inc. is a family of retail apparel companies that includes Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug and Catherine's.

Moore College of Art & Design, located in Philadelphia, is the first and only women's visual arts college in the nation, and one of only two in the world.
