LSC-CyFair to stage Little Shop of Horrors
Little Shop of Horrors will take the stage at Lone Star College-CyFair from May 5-8 at the Main Stage Theatre in the Center for the Arts building.
The performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students with valid ID. Group discounts are also available.
Little Shop of Horrors is one of the longest-running off-Broadway shows. The spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name thanks to a highly successful film version and a score from the song-writing team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. This duo redefined the animated musical film genre with Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, and Aladdin.
LSC-CyFair's Alex Qian, artistic director of vocal activities, and Matt Albrecht, stage director, will produce the show.
Energe Spa is teaming up with LSC-CyFair to offer a deal for the Mother's Day performance--guests can buy a May 8 show ticket for their mother and receive a coupon for a complimentary eyebrow or upper lip wax at Energe Spa.
