Kids can learn to fish, earn prizes Saturday
Lone Star College-CyFair and the Langham Creek Family YMCA will hold Teach a Kid to Fish Day for children age 4 to 9 years old on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Cypress campus.
Fishing will only be permitted on the north side of the lake between the College Center and the bridge. Participants must bring their own fishing equipment. No treble hooks or artificial lures will be allowed. Live worms, shrimp and various catfish blood baits will be permitted.
There will be prizes for first, second and third place awarded for the largest fish. It is a catch-and-keep event, and cleaning must be done off the premises.
