Baseball: Cy Creek goes for 17-5A crown
Cy Creek handed Cy-Fair its first district loss when the Cougars recorded a 4-2 road win in the first round, and if the Cougars can complete a sweep of the Bobcats this week, they'll come away with the 17-5A baseball championship.
In the other dugout, Cy-Fair wants no part of that scenario and is instead out to split with Cy Creek and create a district co-championship with both teams closing league play at 14-3.
Langham Creek, at 12-4, has also clinched a playoff berth, so that leaves only one remaining. Jersey Village (10-6), Cy Ranch and Cy Lakes (both 9-7), are going for it.
