HS baseball playoffs: Cy Creek defeats Taylor
Cy Creek defeated Alief Taylor in game one of their Class 5A Bidistrict playoff series Thursday.
The Cougars, 22-7-0 overall and 15-2-0 in district play, won the game, 18-1.
Jordan Lee hit two home runs and Kevin Pappas struck out six Lions to earn the win.
David McKellar was the losing pitcher for Taylor, who committed three errors as a team in the loss.
Game two of their playoff series starts today at 4 p.m.
