HS baseball playoffs: Langham Creek defeats MacArthur
Langham Creek defeated MacArthur to win their Class 5A Bi-district playoff series Friday.
"Both of them did a great job on the mound," Langham Creek coach Armando Sedeno said, referring to his two starting pitchers. "Those guys really stood out. The guys hit the ball, but we were one of the top hitting teams in the district. Some people don't realize that. We'll put our bats up against anyone."
Logan Onda homered and notched the win in Game 1, and Hayden Jones followed with a complete-game victory on Friday.
The Lobos, 25-5-0 overall and 13-4-0 in district play, won the game, 7-1, and the series, 2-0.
Langham Creek won game one, 9-0, on Thursday.
MacArthur finished the season at 17-11-0 overall and 8-4-0 in district games.
