Houston area martial arts center sending team to Jiu-Jitsu World Championship

Team Tooke Mixed Martial Arts is sending a team to compete in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championship.

The biggest competition and highest level of competition of its kind, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championship is being held in Long Beach, California from June 2 through 4.

“Students have been training every single day and putting a lot of effort into competing,” said Travis Tooke of family-owned Team Tooke Mixed Martial Arts.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is just one of the activities that Team Tooke Mixed Marital Arts teaches.  They also have classes to learn Mixed Martial Arts, Judo, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Grappling, Kids Martial Arts and Women’s fitness boot camps.

Students in these classes not only become and stay fit, they are also learn a way of protecting themselves and learn something about themselves due to the character and dedication involved.

Team Tooke will be having an exhibition fundraiser on May 21 in order to raise money for the kids going to the World Championship. The fundraiser will be held at C.D.M. Boxing Youth Center. For more information on the fundraiser, visit their website at cdmboxingassoc.com.
