Jersey Village HS grad Nick Stavinoha homers for Memphis
Jersey Village High School graduate Nick Stavinoha went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer, five RBIs and two runs scored as the Memphis Redbirds defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes, 10-4, in minor league action on Tuesday.
On the season, Stavinoha, a first baseman, is batting .232 with 35 RBIs and eight home runs.
At Jersey Village High School, Stavinoha was part of three district-champion baseball teams (1998, '99, '00) and helped lead the football team to district titles in 1998 and 1999.
Nick is the son of Rick and Debbie Stavinoha and was born May 3, 1982.
