Cy-Fair HS grad Robbie Grossman plunders victory
Cy-Fair High School graduate Robbie Grossman went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI as the Bradenton Marauders defeated the Brevard County Manatees, 5-2, in minor league action Thursday.
On the season, Grossman is batting .269 with three home runs, 17 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.
At Cy-Fair High School, Grossman was a High School All-American who batted .415 with four home runs and 19 RBIs in 2007, leading his team to a state championship.
Grossman was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2008 amateur entry Draft.
Grossman was born September 16, 1989.
