Landlord sues over Cypress commercial lease agreement

A landlord is suing after, it says, a Cypress tenant breached a lease agreement by failing to pay rent.

Advance Stores Co. filed a lawsuit on June 13 in Harris County District Court against American Mattress, Walter Bond II, and Anjanette Bond, alleging breach of contract.

Advance Stores says that on June 16, 2010, it agreed to sublease the defendants’ commercial space, located at 11301 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. According to the brief, the defendants breached this agreement when they stopped making rental payments on the property.

Advance Stores is seeking actual damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Richard Kaplan.
