Cypress residents accuse Woodlands business partner, Pasadena company of theft, fraud

Cypress residents are suing after, they say, their Woodlands business partner misappropriated company property to benefit himself and a Pasadena business.

T. Gray Utility & Rehab Co. and Cypress residents Elizabeth Tamez and Marcus Tamez filed a lawsuit on June 15 in Harris County District Court against Woodlands resident Mike Wasik and Clear Brook MUD, of Pasadena, citing breach of fiduciary duties, defalcation, fraud, breach of contract, conversion and theft.

The plaintiffs say that they entered into a partnership agreement with Wasik to run the business T. Gray Utility. According to the brief, Wasik caused the plaintiffs to suffer actual damages and mental anguish when he abused his position in the company to misappropriate property and divert receivables from T. Gray to himself and Clear Brook MUD.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by League City attorney Wayne Collins.
