Contractor sues over new home construction in Cy-Fair

A contractor is suing after, he says, he was not paid for materials and services provided on a new home construction in Cy-Fair.

Sonny Thottumkal filed a lawsuit on June 17 in Harris County District Court against Gurnaib Sidhu alleging, among other things, breach of contract.

Thottumkal says that in July 2010, Sidhu agreed to pay him $101,239 to work on the construction of a new home, located at 10403 Staghill Drive in Cy-Fair. According to the brief, Sidhu breached this agreement by failing to pay Thottumkal over $100,000 for materials and services provided for the project.

Thottumkal is seeking $101,239 in damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney L. Mickele’ Daniels.
