District offers free meals in summer
The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District Food Service Department is offering free meals for youths under age 19 as part of its third annual Summer Food Service Program.
No enrollment or registration is required to participate in the federally funded program. Students may eat breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.
Meals will be served through June 30 at Danish, Duryea, Lee, McFee and Willbern elementary schools. Breakfast is from 7:45-8:45 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Through June 24, Hancock, Lieder, Post and Walker elementary schools will serve breakfast from 8-9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Through June 30, breakfast will be served at Campbell and Hopper middle schools from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Through July 1 and July 11-29, Bleyl and Kahla middle schools have breakfast at 7:15-8:15 a.m. and lunch 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Through July 29, Francone Elementary School serves breakfast 8:30-9:30 a.m. and lunch 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
