The Foundry Toastmasters Club now is known as the Speakers Connection Toastmasters Club.
Meetings are held in Room C-104 at Jersey Village Baptist Church, 16518 Jersey Drive.

Members determined the new name better reflects the club and its goals: "To provide support to individuals seeking to improve communication and leadership skills in their everyday life, in an atmosphere of helpfulness and friendliness. "
A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches and offering constructive evaluation.
The nonprofit club was chartered in 1998.
