Cy-Fair company blamed for fatal car accident
Relatives are suing after a 61-year-old family member was killed in a car accident on the North Loop.
R. John Hamman Jr. and others, on behalf of Leslie Campbell’s estate, filed a lawsuit on June 30 in the Harris County District Court against Cy-Fair’s Precise, Inc. and its employee, Duvard Purdue, citing negligence, negligence per se, and gross negligence.
The suit alleges that on March 3, Purdue rear-ended the tractor-trailer he was driving, as an employee of Precise, into Leslie Campbell’s car, while travelling eastbound in the 3900 block of 610 N. Loop E. According to the brief, the accident killed Campbell, causing her family emotional pain, torment and suffering.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Janie Jordan.
