Cy-Fair ISD seeks 'bus buddies' for next school year

Cy-Fair ISD is seeking "Bus Buddies" for the start of the upcoming school year.

“Bus Buddies” provide assistance to elementary students, helping them get off the bus at the correct location. The program requires one “Bus Buddy” per elementary bus the first three days of school to assist the bus driver.

People who are interested in participating must attend one of the training sessions, if not previously trained. They must arrive and sign in at their assigned school where the campus staff will assist. The approximate time commitment is from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, Tuesday, Aug. 23, and Wednesday, Aug. 24.

Training sessions will be held on Monday, Aug. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 18, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sessions will be held at the Berry Center, located at 8877 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress.
