Cy-Fair hospital to host talk on dementia
Silverado Senior Living will present a neurology discussion from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Fayaz Faiz, who will be discussing basic neurology and how it relates to dementia and memory loss, as well as the signs, symptoms and treatment for dementia and what to do when caring for a loved one with the condition.
Faiz will also focus on steps and measures that can be taken in order to keep the body and brain healthy.
Faiz graduated from Dow Medical College and completed residencies at the University of Pennsylvania and St. Vincent Medical Center in New York. He has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years and has held numerous chief of neurology and chief of staff positions throughout his career. He is a board-certified neurologist and currently serves as a diplomat on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
The discussion will take place at St. Luke’s at the Vintage, 20171 Chasewood Park Drive.
